Founder & Designer
After years of documenting complex wounds, Dr. Fernando Torres recognized that conventional EMRs were not designed around the actual workflow of wound-care clinicians. Wound Charts was created from the clinical encounter outward rather than adapting generic medical software to wound care.

The story
Wound Charts was developed from 20+ years of treating wound patients. Dr. Fernando Torres spent two decades at the bedside managing complex, chronic, and acute wounds — and watched clinician after clinician fight their documentation tools instead of focusing on the patient.
Conventional EMRs were built for billing and general medical records. They were never designed around the actual workflow of wound-care clinicians: the serial measurements, the photography, the tissue composition mapping, the healing trajectories. So Dr. Torres built the platform he wished he had.
The result is a system created from the clinical encounter outward — purpose-built for wound care, informed by real clinical challenges, and refined through years of active practice. That is founder-market fit: something software companies cannot easily copy.
Not adapted from a generic EMR. Every screen, field, and workflow reflects two decades of real clinical practice.
Wound Charts was created from the clinical encounter outward — not by adapting generic medical software to wound care.
Two decades of treating complex wounds means the platform anticipates the challenges clinicians face before they arise.
Credentials
Dr. Torres's credentials establish something software companies cannot easily copy: deep, lived expertise in the wound-care workflow that shapes every decision in the product.
